King and Queen County Public Library offers interlibrary loan services to allow patrons to access materials not currently in our collection. This service is available to all patrons whose records are clear of fines and overdue items. The library will attempt to get any book requested, but not all titles will be available. Patrons can not request an item by interlibrary loan that is owned by the King and Queen County Public Library unless that item is missing, lost or overdue by more than 8 weeks. Patrons are limited to three requests at a time. The library may request microfilm, genealogy materials, and recordings but these materials are often difficult to obtain. Items will be held at the front desk for five (5) days. If not checked out within five days, the item will be returned. Patrons are responsible for the cost of return postage and any additional fees that the lending library may charge including those for loss and damage.
