2023 TAX YEAR

At this time, we will be limiting capacity in our lobby, have made modifications to our lobby, and how we interact with guests to help protect everyone.

Avoid standing in line in the hallway by paying your taxes several ways this year.

As you enter the building, at the entrance to the Sheriff’s Office is a locked drop box. You have the ability to enter the building and use this drop box 24 hours a day – seven days a week!

Just do the following:

(1) Tear off the bottom part of the tax bill; (2) Include a check or money order (NO CASH); (3) Put the above items in the enclosed envelope that came in your bill. Seal the envelope and put your name and telephone number on the outside of the envelope (just in case we need to contact you) and (4) DROP IN THE DROP BOX.

We will be processing those payments and mailing each taxpayer a receipt so that you know your payments were processed.

You can look on the back of the bill and see the other ways to pay your tax bill without coming into the office:

- Use locked drop box
- Pay Taxes at the Two Banks Listed
- Pay Taxes by Credit Card Over the Phone
- Pay Taxes by Credit Card Over the Internet Click Here and input the King & Queen County jurisdiction code "6221"
- Pay Taxes by Mail
- Call the Treasurer’s Office and Pay Taxes Over the Phone with a Credit Card

If you have any questions, please call our office at 804-785-5978 or 804-769-5004.
