King and Queen County Building Inspection works in collaboration with members of community development to promote safe construction from the ground up.

Apply Online Using the IWorQ Portal
The IWorQ portal assists in completing functions regarding permitting, inspections, and code enforcement. By submitting projects online, users can track progress and request inspections. Most documents can be submitted as PDF documents.

To schedule a building inspection, call (804) 785-5975, available seven days a week.
Inspections can be scheduled up to five business days in advance. If an inspection is requested by 11:59 p.m., that inspection will be performed the next open business day (or the indicated date within five business days). To cancel an inspection, please call (804) 785-5975 by 11:59 p.m. the day prior to the scheduled inspection date.
